NO MORE CRUMBS! Food, Housing, and Healthcare for All NOW!
Join us as we rally and march to protest federal government's threats and attacks on our Safety Net programs! We come together to defend SNAP, Medicaid and housing programs that are a lifeline for our communities! We are building people's power to make that all New Yorkers have access to healthy food, health care and affordable housing.
Safety Net Activists and Safety Net Project, together with Rise and Resist and other partners, are organizing an action on November 21st (Friday), 3pm in on the Broadway side of the Trump International Hotel by Columbus Circle, to demand a universal and robust Safety Net for all New Yorkers.
As we have seen since January 2025, the current federal administration does not care about Safety Net programs and the welfare of the majority of people who live in the USA. Instead of funding vital programs like SNAP, Medicaid, public housing, the Congress and Trump's administration are spending billions of dollars on billionairs' welfare (huge tax cuts for the wealthy, subsides for companies etc.), Golden Ballroom, ICE, wars and genocide.
3pm: rally on the Broadway side of the Trump International Hotel by Columbus Circle to condemn the federal government for its draconian and inhumane cuts to SNAP, healthcare and permanent housing!
3.30pm: march from Columbus Circle→ Broadway → 57th St. → 3rd Ave. → 56th St.
4.30pm: rally in front of Gov. Hochul's NYC office on the corner of 3rd Ave. and 56th St. to demand that New York leaders step-up in this critical moment with bold plans to counter the federal attacks on our Safety Net!
For those who use Acces-A-Ride here are the addresses:
Trump International Hotel: 1 Central Park West, New York, NY 10023
NYC office of Gov. Kathy Hochul: 919 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10022
NYS Governor and NYC mayor must ensure that ALL NEW YORKERS have UNIVERSAL access to healthy food, housing and health care. Make big corporations and the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share in order to fully fund social Safety Net programs!
Come and join us as we build new Welfare Rights movement!
