NO MORE CRUMBS! Food, Housing, and Healthcare for All NOW!

Safety Net Activists and Safety Net Project, together with Rise and Resist and other partners, are organizing an action on November 21st (Friday), 3pm at Midtown Manhattan to demand a universal and robust Safety Net for all New Yorkers. We say: "NO MORE CRUMBS!"  Food, Housing, and Healthcare for All NOW!”

As we have seen since January 2025, the current federal administration does not care about Safety Net programs and the welfare of the majority of people who live in the USA. Instead of funding vital programs like SNAP, Medicaid, public housing, the Congress and Trump's administration are spending billions of dollars on billionairs' welfare (huge tax cuts for the wealthy, subsides for companies etc.), Golden Ballroom, ICE, wars and genocide.  

We condemn the federal government for its draconian and inhumane cuts to SNAP, healthcare and permanent housing. 

We demand that New York leaders step-up in this critical moment with bold plans to counter the federal attacks on our Safety Net! NYS Governor and NYC mayor must ensure that ALL NEW YORKERS have UNIVERSAL access to healthy food, housing and health care. Make big corporations and the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share in order to fully fund social Safety Net programs!
